Chinanews.com, Beijing, January 21, Dianzhilian Recruitment recently released the "2021 White-collar Year-end Award Survey Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"), which shows that in 2021, nearly 40% of white-collar workers in the country will have year-end awards, with an average amount of 10,227 yuan. For the first time in five years, it has exceeded 10,000; the year-end awards in first-tier cities are generally higher, and Beijing is once again on the list of cities with the highest year-end awards.

  The data shows that 36.6% of white-collar workers can get year-end bonuses in 2021, an increase from 27.6% in 2020 and 33.3% in 2019.

  From the perspective of enterprises of different natures, 54.9% of white-collar workers in state-owned enterprises can get year-end bonuses, ranking first among enterprises of different natures.

Foreign/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-owned enterprises (51%), government agencies/public institutions (47.9%), and joint ventures (46.2%) followed closely.

  In terms of different industries, the proportion of white-collar workers in the energy/mining/environmental protection industries receiving year-end awards is the highest, reaching 49%, which is higher than 38.9% in 2020, and continues to rank first in the industry.

Followed by the financial industry, 48.3% of white-collar workers can get year-end bonuses.

Government/non-profit (47.6%), and automotive/production/processing/manufacturing (45.7%) are close behind.

  The report pointed out that cash is the most common form of year-end bonuses issued by companies.

According to the survey, 97.5% of the white-collar workers who received year-end bonuses received cash.

In addition, shopping cards, food, and daily necessities are also important ways for companies to reward employees, accounting for more than 5%.

  The data shows that the average year-end bonus for white-collar workers nationwide in 2021 will be 10,227 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.7% from 7,826 yuan in 2020.

From the specific distribution point of view, the year-end bonus of white-collar workers accounted for 32.3% and 9% in the ranges of "10,000-50,000 yuan" and "over 50,000 yuan" respectively.

  The report pointed out that year-end bonuses in first-tier cities are generally higher.

In 2021, Beijing will again be listed as the city with the highest year-end award, with an average amount of 13,152 yuan, slightly lower than the 13,258 yuan in 2020; Shenzhen and Shanghai are 12,757 yuan and 12,701 yuan respectively.
