During his term in office, former American President Donald Trump made it a sport to always celebrate stock market records on the social network Twitter, as if he had personally heaved the markets there – his balance sheet was average everywhere.

Joe Biden refrains from such posturing, like almost all presidents before him.

Because of course you should only pin your lapel on successes that you are responsible for.

So how much Joe Biden is in the stock market? Analyst Richard Flynn said there is currently an "everything rally". "While presidents are always quick to get credit for strong performance and quick to blame their predecessor for poor performance, it's likely that they're not responsible for either," Flynn summarizes. He's not the only one who thinks so: National Securities chief market analyst Art Hogan said it didn't matter who was elected president in 2020 - he would have had a gigantic tailwind either way: "You get to the point where just don't spoil things and hopefully even improve and just do what needs to be done".

Never has a president had such tailwind as Joe Biden.

Did he make enough of it?

Rather not.

That's another reason why it was right that he was often silent about the stock market records.
