Since the opening of China-Europe trains via Suifenhe Station in 2018, the annual number of trains has increased rapidly year by year, from 20 trains in that year to 100 and 200 trains, and then to 500 trains in 2021 to achieve three consecutive increases.
In 2021, the China-Europe freight trains entering and leaving the country through the "East Channel" of China-Europe freight trains will account for one-third of the total number of China-Europe freight trains in China. Among them, the number of China-Europe freight trains entering and leaving China through Manzhouli Station exceeded 4,000 for the first time this year, an increase of 18.4% year-on-year. The number of China-Europe trains entering and leaving China via Suifenhe Station exceeded 500 for the first time this year, a year-on-year increase of 153%, ensuring the safe, smooth and stable operation of China-Europe trains and a substantial increase in the number of trains.
The China-Europe freight train has 21 inbound and outbound routes via Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports, including 10 outbound routes and 11 return routes. In 13 European countries, the types of transported goods are also becoming more and more abundant. The goods transported by the China-Europe Railway Express through the Eastern Corridor have expanded to daily necessities, electrical products, industrial machinery, metals, agricultural and sideline products and other categories. At present, the expansion and reconstruction project of the Manzhouli Port Station has been accelerated.
