After the Mini Electric Pacesetter which held the position last year, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S becomes the new Safety Car of the Formula E championship, in which electric single-seaters race on urban circuits.

To frame these, the German sedan seems perfectly designated.

With its 2 engines developing a combined power of 761 hp, it does 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.

Mechanically, the Porsche is strictly original;

for the rest, it has been equipped with a light bar on the roof and a communication system to be in constant contact with the race director.

For added safety, it was fitted with a roll bar and bucket seats.

The Safety Car will be driven by the Portuguese Bruno Correia, and will begin its career this January, during the first event to be held in Saudi Arabia.
