  In December, China's domestic mobile phone shipments reached 33.401 million units, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%. Among them, 5G mobile phones were 27.145 million units, a year-on-year increase of 49.2%, accounting for 81.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

  5G mobile phones have become the driving force of the mobile phone market throughout the year, and the proportion of all mobile phone shipments has gradually increased.

As of November 2021, China has built and opened more than 1.39 million 5G base stations.

Officials from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology predict that by the end of 2022, the number of 5G base stations in China is expected to exceed 2 million.
