32 initiatives and activities in the "Five Emirates Customs Week 2022"

Dubai Customs announced that it will launch the “Fifth UAE Customs Week 2022” under the slogan “Pioneers of Customs Digital Transformation” from January 24 to 28, as part of its celebration of International Customs Day, which falls on January 26.

The week will witness the organization of 32 various initiatives and activities launched by 13 customs administrations and centers participating in the activities of the week, which will also witness the launch of four major projects at the level of the department.

The events will start with a virtual opening ceremony organized by Dubai Customs. The week’s activities also include organizing the “World Customs Day Forum” on January 26, which includes a dialogue session to discuss future developments in the digital customs transformation, with the participation of representatives from international customs authorities and the countries of the main trading partners in Dubai foreign trade.

 The dialogue session will witness a presentation of the achievements of the "Global Logistics Passport" initiative, and the role of security integration between government agencies in the UAE in protecting society. During the session, Dubai Customs will present its future vision for the development of digital customs services.

The Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Ahmed Mahboub Musabih, said that the activities of the week this year are gaining double importance with the launch of the UAE towards the 50th year of the union, after the country celebrated the 50th anniversary of the union, and launched Our leadership «the fifty projects» to draw the new road map, and therefore the activities of the fifth UAE Customs Week come to crown our efforts aimed at maintaining the global leadership we have achieved in the field of customs work, and support our plans and initiatives to delight customers through their participation with us in the development projects implemented by the department by presenting a model Globally unique in achieving customs digital transformation.
