This is the first declaration of origin issued by an approved exporter in Beijing since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into effect.
With this declaration of origin, a batch of pneumatic cylinders valued at US$200,000 produced by the company will be exported to Japan and will enjoy preferential treatment of zero tariffs.
"Due to business needs, we have to apply for more than 2,000 export certificates of origin every year. Under the original model, we need to apply to the customs on a ticket-by-vote basis." It is understood that in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), which came into effect on January 1 this year, a new mode of declaration of origin for approved exporters has been added, that is, after being reviewed and approved by the customs, the qualification of an approved exporter is obtained. Wang Wei, deputy director of the Beijing Customs Tariff Department, said that the autonomous declaration of origin system is one of the important features of high-level free trade agreements and one of the highlights of the implementation of RCEP. It reflects the corporate credit management concept jointly advocated by RCEP member states. It will reduce the cost of enterprises and improve the convenience of customs clearance.
