A breath of fresh air.
This is reflected in the figures unveiled this Monday by Airbus for the year 2021. In accordance with the objectives it had set for itself, and despite the strong impact of a health crisis that never ends on activity of airlines, the European aircraft manufacturer has exceeded 600 deliveries.
It delivered exactly 611 planes (including 483 A320s, its best-seller) to 80 customers, increasing its production by 8% compared to 2020.
The sky is also clearing on the net controls side.
These reached 507 aircraft, very far from the 268 of low water in 2020, but still far from the 768 of the very distant year 2019.
A boss confident in the future
Guillaume Faury, the boss of Airbus, nonetheless welcomes the “remarkable results” which “reflect the concentration and resilience of the Airbus teams, our customers and our suppliers.
