On January 8, Ning Jizhe, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission and director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at the 26th (2022) China Capital Market Forum that China's consumer prices will rise moderately in 2021.

From January to November, the CPI increased by 0.9% year-on-year, lower than the expected 3% target at the beginning of the year.

Among them, the CPI in November rose by 2.3% year-on-year, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 0.4%, a slight decrease in the month-on-month increase.

Excluding food and energy, the core CPI rose by 1.2% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.

Compared with the 6.8% CPI increase in the United States in November, China's inflation rate increase is moderate.
