China News Service, Foshan, January 9. China's first joint research laboratory for refrigerator food preservation, "Midea Refrigerator-South China University of Technology Advanced Preservation Technology Joint Laboratory", was recently established in Foshan, Guangdong.

The laboratory will conduct systematic and in-depth research on topics such as refrigerator food preservation technology, refrigerator intelligent perception and information technology.

It is reported that the establishment of the joint research laboratory will fill a gap in the research field of all-round refrigerator food preservation in China.

  The joint laboratory was jointly established by the Refrigerator Division of Midea Group and the Modern Food Engineering Research Center of South China University of Technology. The research team was jointly established by the school and the enterprise.

The director of the joint laboratory is Professor Sun Dawen, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and the International Academy of Refrigeration.

At the inauguration ceremony, Academician Sun Dawen was also hired as a scientist consultant of Midea Group.

  Refrigerator is an indispensable product in people's daily life. The output of refrigerators in my country has maintained steady growth in the past ten years.

Academician Sun Dawen said that with the continuous improvement of living standards, people's requirements for fresh food preservation are also constantly upgrading. Therefore, refrigerator companies should continue to innovate refrigerator preservation technology and nutrition and health functions to meet the growing consumer demand of the people.

The joint research laboratory mainly focuses on solving the bottleneck problem that restricts the development of refrigerator freezing and fresh-keeping in my country, and strives to form a group of key technologies with independent intellectual property rights, which will contribute to the development of my country's freezing and fresh-keeping technology.
