China News Service, Beijing, January 9 (Reporter Wang Enbo) China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced on the 9th that China's largest offshore oil field, Bohai Oilfield, will produce 30.132 million tons of crude oil in 2021, becoming China's largest crude oil production base. It accounts for nearly 50% of the national increase.

Founded in 1965, Bohai Oilfield is the birthplace of China's offshore oil industry and the main oilfield with the highest output, the largest scale and the best benefits carefully cultivated by CNOOC.

In the more than 50 years since it was put into production, it has discovered over 4.4 billion tons of proven oil geological reserves and nearly 500 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves, contributing more than 493 million tons of oil and gas to China.

Since CNOOC fully implemented the "Seven-Year Action Plan" to increase oil and gas reserves and production in 2019, the Bohai Oilfield has successively discovered four such as Bozhong 19-6, Kenli 6-1, Kenli 10-2 and Bozhong 13-2. The 100-million-ton oil and gas field produced a total of 85.353 million tons of crude oil and 9.15 billion cubic meters of natural gas in three years.

At present, the oilfield has more than 50 oil and gas fields in production and more than 180 production facilities. It has built a comprehensive oil and gas production base covering three provinces and one city around the Bohai Sea, integrating exploration and development, engineering construction, and production and operation.

Xue Yongan, chief exploration engineer of CNOOC Tianjin Branch, said that the geological structure of the Bohai Bay Basin is complex, like a "golden plate". It fell to the ground and broke and was stepped on a few times. The distribution of oil reservoirs is very scattered and complex, and It is also separated by a layer of seawater, making exploration and development more difficult.

In order to find these scattered oil reservoirs, Bohai Oilfield has successively applied the concepts of "three-dimensional exploration", "cluster exploration", "combination exploration" and "value exploration", and the proven reserves have been rising continuously.

After entering the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Bohai Oilfield has innovatively put forward the theory of "gas formation in lake basins" and the theory of "convergence ridge" accumulation, and discovered a number of oil and gas fields with a level of 100 million tons, which has laid a solid foundation for building China's largest crude oil production base. Reserve basis.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Bohai Oilfield will also work hard to ensure that oil and gas production will increase to 40 million tons in 2025.

As the largest offshore oil and gas producer in China, CNOOC has ranked first among the three major oil companies in terms of domestic crude oil production increments for three consecutive years.

In 2021, the company will produce 48.64 million tons of crude oil in China, a year-on-year increase of 3.23 million tons, accounting for about 80% of the total domestic crude oil increase.
