HFCs are a common substitute for ozone-depleting substances (ODS), and while not ODS themselves, HFCs are greenhouse gases with a high global warming potential (GWP).
The Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the "Notice on Strictly Controlling the First Batch of Hydrofluorocarbon Chemical Production and Construction Projects".
