At a press conference held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology a few days ago, Wang Weiming, Director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that the overall scale of my country’s robotics industry has grown rapidly. In 2020, its operating income will exceed 100 billion yuan for the first time. There are 143 industry categories in 52 major sectors of the national economy and are widely used.

However, compared with the advanced level of foreign countries, there are still problems such as insufficient technology accumulation, weak industrial foundation, and lack of high-end supply.

  In order to further promote the robotics industry to move towards mid-to-high end, the "Plan" proposes that by 2025, my country will become a source of global robotics innovation, a high-end manufacturing cluster, and a new highland for integrated applications.

The average annual growth rate of the operating income of the robotics industry exceeds 20%; a group of internationally competitive leading companies and a large number of innovative, high-growth, specialized and new "little giant" companies have been formed, and 3 to 5 companies have been established. Industrial clusters with international influence; the density of manufacturing robots has doubled.

  "In order to achieve the above goals, efforts should be made from both sides of supply and demand." Wang Hong, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Division I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, suggested that the key core technology of robots should be strengthened, and special materials, core components, and processing techniques should be supplemented. Other shortcomings; facing the needs of key industries, gathering superior resources, promoting the development of high-end robot products, expanding the robot product series and types, improving performance, quality and safety; implementing the "robot +" application action, organizing the precise docking of production and demand, and promoting robots Development of typical application scenarios.

  In response to the "Robot+" application action proposed by the "Planning", Wang Hong believes that large-scale application areas should be formed in automobiles, electronics, machinery, warehousing and logistics, etc., and focus on the development and promotion of new robot products to open up the high-end application market.

In mining, agriculture, electric power, emergency rescue and other areas where initial applications and potential demands are relatively strong, develop robot products and solutions, carry out pilot demonstrations, and expand the application space.

In specific subdivision scenarios, links and fields such as sanitary ware, ceramics, hardware, furniture, etc., professional and customized solutions are formed and replicated and promoted to create distinctive service brands.

  How to improve the innovation capability of my country's robotics industry?

Song Xiaogang, executive director of the China Robot Industry Alliance, believes that the most urgent task is to strengthen core technology research.

Break through common technologies such as robot system development and operating systems; research and develop cutting-edge technologies such as bionic perception and cognition.

At the same time, it is necessary to give full play to the role of robotics key laboratories, engineering (technical) research centers, innovation centers and other research and development institutions, strengthen research on cutting-edge and common technologies, and accelerate the transformation of results.
