At the end of last year at Mizuho Bank, in response to a problem that ATM = automatic teller machine etc. could not transfer money temporarily, the Financial Services Agency told the bank and the parent company Mizuho Financial Group based on the law. I issued an order requesting a report of the cause.

On the 30th of last month, Mizuho Bank had a problem with ATM and Internet banking due to an incorrect system setting for processing nights and holidays.

At one point, we couldn't accept transfers to other banks, and some of the transfers we received during the time of the problem did not complete the procedure on that day and were delayed the next day or later.

In response to this, the Financial Services Agency issued a report request order to Mizuho Bank and its parent company Mizuho Financial Group to report the cause and recurrence prevention measures based on the law.

Last year, a total of eight system failures occurred in Mizuho, and the Financial Services Agency issued a business improvement order, requesting that an improvement plan be submitted by the 17th of this month.
