In 2020, Sony presented the Vision-S, a sedan considered as a rolling laboratory intended to show its innovations in autonomous driving, and whose commercialization as such was not envisaged.
It seems that the firm has changed its mind, since it just announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that it would launch a new company called Sony Mobility Inc in the spring of 2022, with which it intends to consider entering the electric vehicle market.
This subsidiary will use artificial intelligence techniques, as well as robotics.
On the occasion of CES, Sony therefore presented a second concept car called Vision-S 02, a 7-seater SUV based on the same platform as the sedan.
With two engines developing 268 hp each, this vehicle is the same size as the Tesla Model Y.
In its interior, it offers a high-quality multimedia experience thanks to Sony know-how.
Nothing is missing, not even the Playstation game consoles!
