[Explanation] To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine, on January 4, the Ukrainian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) Shanghai Representative Office and the China-Europe Technology Center signed an agreement of intent on trade in goods worth more than 12 million U.S. dollars in Shanghai to import agricultural products from Ukraine , While exporting white goods, photovoltaic products, and agricultural machinery products to Ukraine.

  Gao Xiaomei, secretary general of the China-Europe Technology Center, is a Finnish overseas Chinese who came to Shanghai and settled in Hongqiao through the "East Wind" of the CIIE.

She said that the signing of the agreement of intent on trade in goods worth more than 12 million US dollars is only the first step in the plan. The next step will be to have more contacts with Ukraine, and give full play to the platform advantages of overseas Chinese agencies, the advantages of China Unicom, and more services. Many products, technologies and talents "go out" and "bring in".

  We will have more and more contacts with Ukraine, whether in terms of agricultural products, (or) from our technical talents, there will be more contacts.

  [Explanation] In recent years, with the continuous efforts of China and Ukraine, the relationship between the two countries has reached the level of strategic partnership.

In 2019, the trade volume between the two countries reached 13 billion U.S. dollars.

In 2020, bilateral transactions set a new record of US$15.4 billion.

  “Ukrainian sunflower oil has a large market in China. Similarly, Ukraine has been importing Chinese products. China has many good things.” Yulia, representative of the Shanghai Representative Office of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that China has become the largest in Ukraine. Trade partners, and there is great potential for cooperation between the two countries.

For example, electric vehicles in China are very popular in Ukraine recently.

  China has a great demand for Ukrainian agricultural products, and Ukraine has a great demand for Chinese manufacturing and Chinese products. Ukraine has always imported Chinese products.

  [Explanation] Wu Suwei, chief representative of the Shanghai Representative Office of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, pointed out that in recent years, China and Ukraine have had close economic and trade exchanges. Uzbekistan is extremely dependent and has obvious complementary advantages.

  The Shanghai Representative Office of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine will give full play to the advantages of the Hongqiao International Central Business District in connecting China and foreign countries, build a docking platform, gather the corporate resources of China and Ukraine, and promote cooperation with China in the fields of agriculture, food, and feed. The introduction of resources into Ukraine will effectively improve the agricultural production and living environment in Ukraine.
