The China-Europe Express (Covering Europe) was officially launched in 2015. As of the end of 2021, a total of 67,700 TEUs of goods were carried, with a value of about 20 billion yuan.
Among them, 9712 TEUs of cargo will be carried in 2021, with a value of approximately 3.142 billion yuan. The province's cargo accounted for 42%, and the number of containers shipped was higher than that of the previous year.
After another China-Europe train (Changhuiou) in Jilin Province opens in 2021, it will carry 1,624 TEUs of export goods with a value of about 373 million yuan.
As an important industrial and agricultural province in China, Jilin Province has a good foundation in the automobile industry and agricultural product processing industry. Its export commodities are mainly electromechanical products, agricultural products, and auto parts.
In the past few years, the successful operation of the China-Europe Express has contributed a lot to the development of the export-oriented economy of Jilin Province.
