Rainy start to the year in the Gulf.

Usually, even at this time of year, rains are rare in this region.

When they occur, the daily life of the inhabitants is quickly disrupted for lack of a drainage system.

In Dubai, the economic capital of the United Arab Emirates, for example, the rains caused the suspension of home delivery services on several online platforms.

The services of the municipality intervened to pump the water and facilitate the circulation.

In Kuwait, it is the lessons and exams that will be postponed this Monday, January 3 in schools across the country due to the weather.

Citizens and residents have also been called to stay at home except in an absolute emergency.

In Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, appeals for vigilance have also been sent to the population.

However, no casualties have been reported in these countries.

Unlike the Sultanate of Oman which has mourned six deaths since December 31.

The bad weather is expected to last until the end of the week.
