In the past, lack of funds, lack of technology, and worrying about sales were the problems facing vegetable growers in Jinzhangzi Village.

In order to solve the worries of the villagers, Kuancheng County has introduced a series of favorable agricultural policies to give strong support to growers.

At the same time, in order to allow the villagers to develop their wealth-making industries steadily and comfortably, Jinzhangzi Village has established a vegetable professional cooperative and an agricultural product trading center, realizing a one-stop service of production, supply and marketing for vegetable farmers "from planting to unsellable village".

At the same time, in order to reduce the planting costs of farmers, in 2019, Jinzhangzi Village invested in the construction of a plant seedling base to introduce high-quality seeds for cultivation, which not only guarantees the provision of high-quality seedlings for the village’s facility vegetables and open-field vegetables, but also radiates and drives the surrounding 4 townships Develop the open field vegetable industry.

"Extend the industrial chain, so that every link can bring benefits to farmers." Jin Xiugui said that a conservative estimate of 3,000 yuan per mu for seedlings will greatly reduce the planting costs of off-season vegetable farmers, and the export of seedlings can also increase income.

With seedlings, Jinzhangzi Village vigorously promotes the cultivation of organic cauliflower, cabbage and other open-field vegetables in the village.

In 2020, villager Chang Yuwen planted 3 acres of his own land with organic cauliflower. “Unexpectedly, not only the price is high, but also the sale.” To taste the sweetness, Chang Yuwen planted 8 acres through contract replacement and other methods in 2021. Organic cauliflower, "I used to grow corn, but now I plant two crops of organic cauliflower a year, and my income has increased a lot.

Near the Spring Festival, the Vegetable Cooperative of Jinzhangzi Village has customized a batch of vegetable gift boxes, packaging and selling vegetables such as peppers, eggplants, cucumbers and tomatoes in the form of "gift dishes".

"Each box is 100 yuan, and more than 3,000 boxes have been booked so far, and the effect is good." Jin Xiugui said with a smile, we not only rely on volume to increase revenue, but also develop the idea of generating revenue from boutique products.
