  RCEP will take effect on January 1, 2022 for the 6 ASEAN member states including Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, and 4 non-ASEAN member states including China, Japan, New Zealand and Australia that have formally submitted the approval letter. .

After the agreement comes into effect, more than 90% of the goods trade between approved members will eventually achieve zero tariffs.

  At the same time, with the implementation of rules of origin, customs procedures, inspection and quarantine, technical standards and other rules, the superimposed effect will significantly enhance trade links between members.

For example, in terms of rules of origin, the "Agreement" uses the principle of regional accumulation, so that the value component of the product's origin is accumulated in the region of the approved member country, and the value component from any party of the "Agreement" will be taken into account, which will be significant Increase the utilization rate of the treaty preferential tax rate.

  According to the person in charge of Nanning Qiaohong New Material Co., Ltd., the clean paper produced by the company is not only sold in the ASEAN market, but also very popular in Japan.

Through the bilateral tariff reduction arrangement reached by RCEP, clean paper can enjoy a 0.4% tariff preference in the first year after entering Japan, and gradually reduce tariffs to zero, which will help greatly enhance product market competitiveness, increase export profits, and forecast exports Business in Japan will grow by 100%.
