  The Yangshan Border Inspection Station revealed on the 31st that from this year to December 29, more than 8,100 ships entered and exited from Yangshan Port, which was 2.6% lower than the same period last year, but 18,000 berthed throughout the year. Large ships of the TEU class have been stabilized at more than 1,200 trips.

The number of ships has decreased, the number of boxes has increased, and the ships have become more fully loaded.

  It is reported that in order to meet the continuous growth of container throughput, Yangshan Port added 17 bridge cranes and track cranes and 41 various automated loading and unloading equipment this year.

With the blessing of new equipment, the Yangshan Phase IV automated terminal continued to be the largest growth point of Yangshan Port. The annual container throughput exceeded 5.7 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 26.3%.

The day and night throughput and single-ship operation volume of each phase of Yangshan's terminals have repeatedly broken records.

  On September 29, the day and night throughput of Yangshan Phase III Terminal reached 3,461.75 TEUs, setting a record in Hong Kong.

During the National Day, the Yangshan Phase I terminal completed the loading and unloading tasks of 25,775 TEUs on the "CMA CGM Yaksad" ship, setting a new record for single-ship container loading and unloading in Shanghai Port.

On December 23, Yangshan Phase IV Terminal refreshed the day and night throughput record of the terminal with 25,488 TEUs.

  The Yangshan Border Inspection Station provides functions such as risk reminders for ships involved in the epidemic, remote contactless declaration, automatic verification of various information, and one-click query; strictly implement the non-essential measures of “no boarding, no landing, no docking”, and strengthen Entry inspections of ships and personnel on international voyages, strict supervision of ships during their stay in Hong Kong, strict examination and approval of ship boarding documents and temporary entry permits, the number of people entering and exiting (ports) of various types decreased by 2.7% compared with last year.
