At the same time, under the RCEP framework, China and Japan established a free trade relationship for the first time. The tariff reduction arrangement between China and Japan is the biggest highlight of RCEP tariff reduction.

The rate of Japan’s tariff rate on Chinese-origin goods immediately reduced to zero since the agreement entered into force reached 57%, and the final zero tariff rate reached 88%.
