In Egypt, the prosecution ordered Friday, December 31, the release of Ola, the daughter of Youssef al-Qardaoui, the spiritual eminence of the Brotherhood of the Muslim Brotherhood, placed in preventive detention for more than four years.

Ola remains prosecuted for "financing and participation in a prohibited terrorist organization".

This is not the first time that Ola al-Qaradaoui has been released since her arrest in July 2017 for "

 being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood

 " considered to be a terrorist organization under Egyptian law.

This same law also prohibits a person from being remanded in custody for more than two years.

Ola al-Qaradoui was therefore released on July 3, 2019 to be arrested the next day for " 

financing the terrorist organization of the Muslim Brotherhood

 ".
