On December 31, the 8th Beijing Municipal Park Ice and Snow Amusement Fair opened.
The reporter learned from the Beijing Park Management Center that the snow sports events in Taoranting, Zizhuyuan, and Yuyuantan municipal parks were the first to open on the same day.
At present, the ice rink activities in Beihai, Taoranting, Zizhuyuan, and Yuyuantan Park have been prepared in an orderly manner. Depending on the thickness of the ice layer and weather conditions, they are expected to open in early January next year.
This morning, there was a lively scene on the ice and snow sports field in Taoranting Park in Beijing.
The snow train, snow merry-go-round, snow zorb, and snow flying saucer have attracted many children and parents.
Colorful flags and winter Olympic knowledge exhibition boards are also arranged around the sports venue and the park, creating a passionate atmosphere of "walking in the park, going on ice and snow, and welcoming the Winter Olympics" so that citizens and tourists can experience the fun of winter sports.
According to Pan Xianghua, deputy director of the Service Management Division of Beijing Park Management Center, the Municipal Park Management Center has set up 7 ice rinks and 4 snow rinks in municipal parks.
The 11 ice and snow play experience venues have a total area of nearly 600,000 square meters and provide more than 40 types of ice and snow activities.
