On the 30th, there was a problem that ATM = automatic teller machine etc. could not transfer money temporarily. Mizuho Bank accepted most of the transfers within 31 days, but some of them spanned years. We have announced that it will be after the 4th of next month.

From around 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on the 30th, Mizuho Bank suffered from problems with ATMs and Internet banking, and there were many cases in which it was not possible to accept transfers to other banks.

It is now restored due to an incorrect system setting for night / holiday processing, but Mizuho has about 300 of the 2700 transfers received by the system during the time of the problem. Means that the procedure is not completed within 30 days, and most of the transfers will be made on the 31st.

However, due to the time it takes to send data to the transfer destination account and the amount of money, some transfers are expected to be made after the 4th of next month over the years.

Mizuho Bank commented, "We deeply apologize for causing a great deal of inconvenience to our customers."

Mizuho Bank has been ordered to improve its operations by the Financial Services Agency after eight system failures, and is required to submit an improvement plan by the 17th of next month.
