Produced from 2010 to 2012, the Lexus LFA is an ultra-sporty coupé with an naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V10 engine developed in collaboration with Yamaha, releasing 560 hp and 480 Nm. Sold for around € 370,000, this car could receive in option the “Nürburgring Package” (for an extra of 65,000 € anyway!), which included a fixed spoiler, 10 more horsepower and specific aesthetic details, such as prominent side sills, a carbon front lip and rims in magnesium.
Only 50 units so equipped were produced, and they are now snapped up at high prices on the collector's car market.
Recently, an example that has traveled only 1,500 km was auctioned by RM Sotheby's during Monterey Car Week.
Carrying the number 303, it sold for the insane sum of 1.6 million dollars, or 1.36 million euros!
