Recently, all units of the Three Gorges Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Project were connected to the grid for power generation.

The project is located in the waters north of Maozhusha, Dafeng District, Yancheng, Jiangsu. It is currently the longest offshore wind power project in China. The length of the 220kV submarine cable reaches 86.6 kilometers, and the farthest wind turbine is 82 kilometers offshore.

It is understood that the total investment of the Three Gorges Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 project is 5.27 billion yuan. The wind farm is equipped with 38 units with a stand-alone capacity of 4.5MW and 20 units with a stand-alone capacity of 6.45MW, with a total installed capacity of 300,000 KW.

The annual power generation capacity of the project is about 900 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the normal electricity demand of about 370,000 households a year.

Compared with thermal power plants of the same scale, the project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 760,000 tons per year.
