Due to structural problems, actual loss premiums are expected to continue to rise not only next year but also in the future.

From the subscriber's point of view, there is no choice but to worry a lot, but reporter Kim Jung-woo has compiled a list of what to do.

The first thing to check is when did I get indemnity insurance?

Indemnity insurance has changed three times so far.

If you subscribed before October 2009, it is 1st generation insurance, after that it is 2nd and 3rd generation, and if you subscribed after July of this year, it is 4th generation.

If I signed up in the past, I will often go to the hospital or receive treatments that are not covered by health insurance, such as manual therapy, in this case, it is better to keep it.

Especially for the first-generation products, you don't have to worry about receiving uninsured medical treatment because you get the full amount back without paying the co-pay.

However, if you pay a lot of insurance premiums without going to the hospital, the 4th generation product may be advantageous in this case.

For example, a man in his 40s pays 12,000 won per month for the 4th generation, and less than a third of the 1st generation.

If you don't claim your premiums, you'll get a further discount the following year.

Insurance premiums are low, but coverage is low.

Manual therapy is only covered up to 50 times a year, and nutritional supplements or vitamin injections are not allowed at all.

Also, if you visit the hospital frequently, your insurance premium will also rise, so if you spend more than 1 million won a year on non-insurance insurance, it doubles, and if you spend more than 3 million won, it quadruples.

Insurers claim that up to the third generation, premiums should increase by 20% per year for the next 10 years.

If you change to the 4th generation because you are worried about insurance premiums, you cannot return to the old product again, so you have to carefully consider your age and health condition before making a decision.
