China News Service, Wuhan, December 25. According to China Three Gorges Corporation, three offshore wind power projects invested and constructed by China Three Gorges New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. have achieved the goal of full-capacity grid-connected power generation on the 25th, and the average annual power generation will reach 8 billion kilowatt-hours.

On the same day, China’s first million-kilowatt offshore wind farm, the Three Gorges Yangjiang Shapa Offshore Wind Power Project, announced the realization of full-capacity grid-connected power generation.

The project is located in the sea area south of Shapa Town, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. It has a total installed capacity of 1.7 million kilowatts. It can provide about 4.7 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and meet the annual electricity consumption of about 2 million households. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 4 million tons.

Lei Mingshan, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the Three Gorges Group, said that the successful integration of the Three Gorges Yangjiang Shapa offshore wind power project has effectively promoted the technical innovation of offshore wind power survey and design, major equipment manufacturing and construction, and promoted the coordination of the entire industry chain of offshore wind power in China. Development has accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent concentrated and large-scale development of far-reaching offshore wind power projects, and laid a good foundation for achieving parity in the future offshore wind power.

On the same day, Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 offshore wind power project announced the realization of the goal of full-capacity grid-connected power generation.

The longest distance offshore of the project site is over 80 kilometers, making it the longest offshore wind power project in China.

The project is located in the southern waters of the Yellow Sea, with a total installed capacity of 300 MW and an average annual on-grid power generation capacity of 900 million kwh, which can meet the annual normal electricity demand of about 370,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 760,000 tons per year. .

On the same day, the goal of full-capacity grid-connected power generation was also achieved in China's first offshore wind power flexible DC transmission project-Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Power Project.

The project is located in the Huangshayang waters of Rudong County. It is the first offshore wind power project in Asia that uses flexible direct transmission technology. The annual average on-grid power generation will reach 2.4 billion kWh, which can meet the normal power consumption of about 1 million households for a year. Demand, can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2 million tons per year.

Qin Haiyan, vice chairman of the World Wind Energy Association and secretary-general of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the Chinese Renewable Energy Society, said that the flexible DC transmission technology adopted by the Jiangsu Rudong project has large transmission capacity, small loss, long service life, and basically unlimited transmission distance. It can effectively solve the problem of large-capacity and long-distance transmission of offshore wind farms, and will lead and demonstrate the development and construction of large-capacity offshore wind power in China in the future.
