After renewed tensions in Yemen, Saudi Arabia strikes back.

Riyadh launched a military operation this weekend after a deadly attack on its soil.

But Saudi Arabia also directly accuses Iran and Hezbollah of supporting the Houthi rebels in carrying out their attacks.

The charges unfolded in a press conference on Sunday, December 26.

In front of the soldiers, the spokesperson for the coalition exhibits a series of aerial photographs.

We can see the airport of Sanaa.

A little further, buildings are presented as "

the headquarters of Iranian experts and Hezbollah

 ".

One of the proofs, according to General Turki al Maliki, of the involvement of Tehran and its Shiite ally in Yemen: “

We see here the use of Sana'a airport as a military barracks.

It is the main launch point for missiles and drones.

You see a Hezbollah expert there.

He is there to help the Houthis trap drones to launch them from Sanaa International Airport

”.

If Iran recognizes political support for the Houthi rebels, Tehran has always on the other hand denied providing arms to Yemen.

In recent days, the conflict has intensified.

This weekend the Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for missile fire on Saudi soil.

Two people were killed, the first in more than three years.

In response, Saudi Arabia launched a military offensive.

Riyadh claims to have destroyed several arms warehouses in Sana'a yesterday.

The day before a strike near the capital had killed at least three people.

Since the start of the war 7 years ago, and despite the intervention of the coalition, the Houthi rebels have continued to progress, until they control a large part of the north of the country.
