The representative of the Gazprom company Sergey Kupriyanov called the accusations against Russia of insufficient volumes of gas supplies to the EU countries groundless.

“All accusations against Russia and Gazprom that we supply little gas to the European market are absolutely groundless, unacceptable and untrue.

To put it simply, it is a lie and a lie, ”he said.

Kupriyanov said that this year Gazprom supplied 50.2 billion cubic meters to Germany under a contract, which is 5.3 more than last year.

Also among the countries to which the company "has already supplied more gas than in the entire last year" - Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Denmark, Finland, Poland.

At the same time, according to Kupriyanov, a number of Gazprom's European customers, in particular from France and Germany, have already fully selected all their annual contractual volumes and no longer leave applications for gas supplies.

“And Gazprom is booking transport facilities on the basis of existing applications, and not vice versa,” Kupriyanov emphasized.

Speaking about the transportation of gas through the territory of Ukraine, he noted that on December 15, Gazprom fulfilled all its annual obligations under the transit contract, and gas transportation in this direction continues.

“All problems in Western Europe are created for themselves, and there is no need to blame Gazprom for this.

Better to look in the mirror. "

“All problems in Western Europe are created for themselves, and there is no need to blame Gazprom for this.

Better to look in the mirror, ”he concluded.

Kupriyanov noted that the company is ready to supply additional volumes of gas under existing long-term contracts.

The gas price within the framework of these supplies, he stressed, is significantly lower than the spot price.

On Sunday, December 26, it was reported that Gazprom did not reserve the capacity of the Yamal-Europe pipeline for gas transit through Poland at the 24-hour auction session.

During a large press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin also stressed that this decision is due to the lack of applications from the EU countries.

“I see these accusations against Russia and Gazprom that for the second or third day in a row Gazprom did not book traffic for gas supplies to Europe via this route, Yamal - Europe.

How disgusting, how to say it ... It goes beyond all boundaries.

After all, he did not book this traffic, because those of his counterparties and companies, and these are primarily German and French, who buy gas along this route, did not submit purchase orders.

What to transit if they have no purchase requisitions? "

- explained the head of state.

The President noted that Gazprom is not to blame for the sharp rise in gas prices in Europe.

“Of course not,” the Russian leader said.

According to him, the accusations against Russia are "an attempt to turn everything upside down again."

“Yes, they lie all the time, so they put a shadow on the fence.

Gazprom supplies the entire volume requested by our counterparties under the existing contracts.

And not only the entire volume, but increased the supply, in my opinion, by almost 12% or about 20% already to the far abroad.

Increases supplies to Europe as a whole, ”the head of state said.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Energy Committee Valery Seleznev, in an interview with RT, also emphasized that Gazprom is fulfilling its contractual obligations.

“The entire market is divided into long-term obligations under long-term contracts and the spot market.

Accordingly, there can be no obligations on the spot market.

Our European partners are constantly pushing Gazprom to supply free volumes of gas to the European market.

This is not and cannot be the responsibility of Gazprom, ”the deputy said.

He noted that in relation to some countries, "with which Russia has very stable relations in terms of basic supplies," Gazprom provides additional volumes of gas at their request.

On December 21, Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the issue of gas supplies via the Yamal-Europe pipeline, noted that "this is an absolutely commercial situation."

“You need to ask Gazprom a question about specific reasons.

But there is no connection here, this is an absolutely commercial situation, "he said in response to a question about what was the reason for the first decrease in gas supplies through the Yamal-Europe pipeline, and then the switch to reverse.
