  The Deep River Railway uses a tunnel to pass through the Pearl River estuary, which is a key control project for the entire line. The maximum buried depth of the tunnel is 106 meters, which is currently the country's largest submarine tunnel with the highest buried depth and the highest water pressure.

The "Shenjiang No. 1" shield machine traverses the section with a total length of 3590 meters. It is tunneling downhill for a long distance. The seawater pressure reaches 10.6 bar, which is the highest in the world.

  The tunnel traverses multiple fracture zones. The high water pressure construction area is 110 meters. It integrates soft soil, hard rock, uneven soft and hard, and base rock bulge. The project requires subsea tool change under ultra-high water pressure. For the first time, a shield machine was received in a submarine cave with extremely small space by in-situ dismantling + dragging inside the cave. The engineering geological conditions are extremely complex, difficult, and risky, and require extremely high construction and equipment performance.

  According to Li Bing, head of the project department of China Railway 14th Bureau, according to the characteristics of the project, the project construction team took advantage of artificial intelligence technology and carried out a targeted selection and design of the shield machine. The tailor-made "Shenjiang No. 1" large-diameter muddy water The balanced shield machine has completely independent intellectual property rights.

The cutter head is painted with "lion waking up" elements, which is very characteristic of Guangdong's regional culture.

The shield machine adopts a double shield shell design and is equipped with 4 reinforced shield tail brushes, which greatly improves the adaptability of the shield machine under the ultra-high water pressure of the seabed.

At the same time, the project department has built a visual intelligent monitoring system, which can realize real-time online guidance by experts at critical moments to provide guarantee for safe and efficient construction.

  The Shenjiang Railway is located in the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is an important part of the coastal channel of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway networks. The Haihai Free Trade Zone and the Nansha Free Trade Zone in Guangzhou have realized a half-hour high-speed rail interconnection.
