question: after 90 female Master "blue collar": Basic worry about looking for objects

From theoretical questions, programming, to precision equipment adjustments, and vibration frequency checks, Liu Hui, who wears myopia glasses and ponytails, proceeded in an orderly manner within the specified time.

In the just-concluded National Equipment Inspection Skills Finals in Liuzhou City, Guangxi, this post-90s female "blue-collar" competed with 129 industry "masters" across the country and was one of the only four female players among the participating teams.

Liu Hui, who wears lace-framed glasses on a round face and speaks softly, is hard to associate her with a "blue-collar" job.

But she is the "treasure" in the unit.

Liu Hui is a graduate of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology with a master's degree in Control Science and Engineering. He has been working in China Northern Rare Earth High-Tech Co., Ltd. for two years and is a technical backbone of the company.

"When I was in college, there were not many girls studying engineering. After work, I found that there were very few girls doing blue-collar jobs. For example, there are almost innumerable numbers of boys in our automation department, while there are only 6 or 7 girls." Liu Huishen Count the girls in the company with just one hand.

According to Liu Hui, in the company, due to the scarcity of female technicians, a few of them will naturally become the "babies" of male colleagues. If it is dangerous instrument adjustment or manual work, male colleagues will take the initiative.

But many times, no matter whether it is theory or technical operation, female colleagues are not left behind.

This is the first time that Liu Hui has participated in such a national skill competition.

"The competition treats the players the same, and I did not treat them differently because I am a female player. Everyone is very good. The biggest gain of this competition is to know their shortcomings and shortcomings, and to clarify the direction for future efforts." Liu Hui said. .

When talking about her profession and work, Liu Hui seemed to have changed individuals and showed a keen interest. She believed that the stereotype of the "blue-collar" group in society needed to be changed too much.

“Everyone’s traditional view is that technical jobs do not require too high cultural literacy. However, China’s manufacturing industry has undergone great changes, and more comprehensive “blue-collar” talents with high theoretical level and high cultural literacy are needed. There will be more demand for highly educated blue-collar talents." Liu Hui said.

Under the company's arrangement, Liu Hui participated in a number of tasks involving different research fields.

For example, equipment inspection work requires the "five senses" of sight, hearing, nose, touch, and mouth. The technician must fully mobilize the "five senses" and use some professional auxiliary tools to find and deal with equipment problems in a timely manner. Extremely test the comprehensive ability of inspection technicians.

As a professional technician, Liu Hui believes that women also have advantages in this field.

"Is it easy for female blue-collar workers to find a partner?" When faced with such a life problem, Liu Hui returned to her shy state: "Basically, I don’t have to worry about finding a partner. My husband and I met in the university engineering class, like Many of my female classmates and colleagues who are also'blue-collar' are basically married."

At present, China has hundreds of millions of "blue-collar" people, and the number of "blue-collars" with high education is gradually increasing, but the number of women with high-educated "blue-collars" is still small. In the context of the upgrading of China's manufacturing industry, with the improvement of the working environment and salary levels , Will further attract more highly educated women to join the "blue-collar" army.
