The total value of cargo carried by international freight trains on China-Laos Railway exceeds RMB 100 million

  Our newspaper, Kunming, December 16 (Reporters Ye Chuanzeng, Shen Jingran) On December 15, an international freight train departed from Kunming carrying 11 containers of cotton woven twill dyed cloth, polyester cloth, artificial leather, zippers, etc., slowly Departing from the Mohan Railway Port in Yunnan to Laos, it marked that the total value of cargo carried by the China-Laos Railway International Freight Train exceeded 100 million yuan.

  On December 4, the first export international cargo train completed the customs clearance procedures for all items, which opened the prelude to the successful opening of the China-Laos railway cross-border logistics.

As of December 15, Kunming Customs has supervised, inspected and released 31 international freight trains on the China-Laos Railway. The total volume of import and export goods reached 17,100 tons, with a value of about 107 million yuan.

Imported goods mainly include natural rubber, fertilizers, iron ore, etc., and exported goods mainly include vegetables, fruits, steel products, and mechanical and electrical products.

  In order to ensure the customs clearance of international cargo trains on the China-Laos Railway, Kunming Customs has continuously optimized the customs clearance process, strengthened customs clearance scheduling, improved the epidemic prevention and control plan, strengthened cooperation with railways and other relevant departments, and guided enterprises to quickly adapt to the railway transportation mode to ensure that the International cargo trains on old railways are strictly and efficiently cleared.

  The China-Laos Railway is a landmark project for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and China-Laos friendship.
