The growth rate of silicon wafer battery module production exceeds 50%

Our newspaper, Beijing, December 16 (Reporter Ding Yiting) The reporter recently learned from the 2021 China Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference: This year, the growth momentum of photovoltaic manufacturing has been strong.

In the first three quarters, the output of polysilicon was 360,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%; the output of silicon wafers was 165 GW, a year-on-year increase of 54.2%; the output of cells was 147 GW, a year-on-year increase of 54.6%; the output of modules was 130 GW, a year-on-year increase of 58.5%.

Affected by increased demand in overseas markets and rising prices, the export volume of photovoltaic products increased significantly in the first October of this year to approximately US$23.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 44.6%.

In the first 10 months of this year, the new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation was approximately 29.31 GW, a year-on-year increase of 34%, of which 13.6 GW of new installed capacity for households accounted for about 46.4% of the new installed capacity of photovoltaics.
