Chinese companies help Thailand build ASEAN's first 5G smart hospital

  Prayut said at the launch event that the project is the first step to promote the application of 5G and other digital technologies in Thailand's medical field. It will provide patients with convenient and fast medical services and significantly reduce the workload of medical staff.

Thailand will use Sri Raj Hospital as a pilot project to plan the blueprint for future smart hospitals.

  Han Zhiqiang said that China-Thailand 5G cooperation has become a regional model, helping Thailand become the first country in Southeast Asia to realize 5G commercialization.

Thailand regards the digital medical industry as a new growth point to serve the people's livelihood and promote economic development. It is believed that the future cooperation potential of the two countries in the field of smart medical care is very broad.

  According to reports, the project will introduce Huawei's 5G, cloud, and artificial intelligence technologies, from 5G ambulance admission, artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis, to post-discharge telemedicine, and help the service process of Siriraji Hospital realize a comprehensive intelligent transformation.

This project is the first 5G smart hospital project officially launched by Huawei in the ASEAN region.

  At present, Siriraj Hospital has cooperated with Huawei to launch pilot trials of 5G portable medical boxes, 5G mobile diagnosis and treatment vehicles, 5G medical carts, and 5G smart beds. It is expected to jointly incubate 30 5G medical applications next year and promote them to the entire Thai medical industry. .

  The digital transformation of the medical industry is an important part of the "Thailand 4.0 Strategy".

In September of this year, the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding, aiming to use 5G technology to improve Thailand's medical service level, promote the balanced development of urban and rural medical resources, and accelerate the transformation of Thailand's medical industry.
