She said that from January to November, China-Europe freight trains opened 13,817 trains, transporting 1.332 million TEUs, an increase of 23% and 30% year-on-year respectively, and the comprehensive heavy container rate was 98.1%.

As of the end of November, China-Europe trains had operated 47,414 trains over the years, transporting 4.297 million TEUs of goods; and transported 13.43 million anti-epidemic materials, totaling 103,000 tons.

  The China-Laos Railway is a landmark project for high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road".

On December 3 this year, the China-Laos Railway was officially opened to traffic.

Meng Wei said that after the opening of the China-Laos Railway, the Trans-Asian Railway’s mid-channel is initially opened through the connection with Thailand’s meter gauge. Countries in the Indo-China Peninsula can reach the Chinese market through the China-Laos railway, and they can further reach the European market through the China-Europe railway. The transportation infrastructure between the countries in the region will be further connected to improve the level of economic and trade cooperation between each other, reduce the cost of circulation, improve the efficiency of circulation, and promote the recovery and development of the regional economy after the epidemic.

  Recently, China and African countries such as Central Africa, Guinea-Bissau, Eritrea, Burkina Faso, Sao Tome and Principe have signed intergovernmental cooperation documents on jointly building the “Belt and Road”.

Meng Wei introduced that up to now, my country has signed more than 200 cooperation documents for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" with 145 countries and 32 international organizations.

On December 13, the first meeting of the coordination mechanism for cooperation between China and the African Union to build the "Belt and Road" was held. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas such as anti-epidemic, food, energy, capacity investment, infrastructure, quality standards, and statistics. , Further deepening the consensus.
