China News Service, Harbin, December 15 (Liu Xiangdong, reporter Wang Lin) On the morning of the 15th, Unit 8 of the MCC Southern Metropolis Environmental Protection Shenglong Industrial Upgrade Project was officially delivered, and the delivery ceremony was held in Harbin through the "cloud".

The unit is designed and manufactured by the Harbin Electric Group Steam Turbine Company and is the world's first 145MW high-efficiency supercritical steam turbine.

At the ceremony, the delivery truck was wrapped in red silk and honked a whistle, carrying Unit 8 from Harbin, Heilongjiang to Fangcheng Port, Guangxi.

The No. 8 unit of the MCC Southern Metropolis Environmental Protection Shenglong Industrial Upgrade Project is a supercritical, primary reheat, two-cylinder single-exhaust, condensing steam turbine. It is the first time in the world to apply supercritical steam parameters to small and medium-sized steam turbines below 200MW. It provides new development ideas for the high parameters and high efficiency of small steam turbines, and the technical level is internationally leading.

In order to help China realize the "dual carbon" goal, the three parties of Harbin Electric Group Steam Turbine Company, Metropolitan Environmental Protection Company, and Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical Co., Ltd. signed the project contract in February 2021, and agreed to complete the cylinder assembly on December 15, 2021. delivery.

Unit 8 of the project raised the inlet steam parameters to 24.2MPa and 600°C, bringing about historical technological innovation of steam turbines supporting iron and steel waste heat power generation.

In the research and development process, Harbin Electric Steam Turbine fully borrowed the design experience of high-efficiency ultra-supercritical high-power units, and carried out a new optimization and upgrade of the technical system on the basis of modularization and generalization.

In terms of design indicators, it will maximize the efficient use of surplus gas from iron and steel enterprises, provide strong technical support for energy-saving, consumption reduction and carbon emissions reduction of iron and steel enterprises, and promote the leapfrog development of supporting steam turbines in the iron and steel industry.

Different from conventional thermal power plants, steam turbines for power generation using steel waste heat have higher requirements in terms of rapid start and stop, flexible and stable operation.

During the development process, Harbin Electric Steam Turbine incorporates advanced technology of high-efficiency ultra-supercritical units in the design concept of mature small and medium-sized units, which further improves the flexibility and stability of unit operation and ensures that this model still has supercritical parameters. Excellent start-stop capability and higher reliability.
