Appeared in 2017, the one called Grandland X at the time sits at the top of the Opel SUV range.

He is recognized as an accessible, serious and versatile family model.

After a rather successful first draft but which did not really break the codes of the segment, Opel offered him a much needed mid-career restyling.

More modern thanks to a more assertive face, it is also more technological, since it gains new equipment and driving aids. These include, among others, the night vision which detects people and animals up to 100 meters upstream, as well as the adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, available with the automatic gearbox, the plug-in hybrid version of which is fitted as standard.

From the outset, it is the appearance of the "Vizor" grille, discovered on the Mokka and inspired by the 1970 Manta, which jumps out at this new version.

The two spotlights, adorned with 168 LEDs, are now integrated into a black strip which brings modernity and character.

The other external developments are more discreet.

The name "Grandland" is inscribed in large letters in the center of the tailgate, under the stamped Blitz logo, and the roof can now be given a different color from that of the body.

Sporty, but firm

The interior remains sober and functional, always a little sad although the materials are correct and the dashboard is now equipped with two 7-inch screens as standard: one for the counters and the other for the info- entertainment. Under the hood, this Grandland keeps the gasoline (120 hp) and diesel (130 hp) units, as well as 2 plug-in hybrids of 224 or 300 hp. The most powerful inherits the all-wheel drive, with an electric motor per axle, in theory allowing 100% electric driving for 64 km. A mode selector makes it easy to switch to 4X4, which offers more dynamic behavior on all surfaces or in all-electric mode, to avoid any emission of exhaust emissions in town. Within the limit of electric autonomy, of course!

However, we regret the very firm suspensions which are detrimental to comfort and (over) assisted steering which lacks a little precision (less true in Sport mode).

From € 29,950 in thermal version and € 42,750 in plug-in hybrid, ecological bonus not deducted.
