Consumer prices rose 2.8% in November, after 2.6% in October, INSEE said on Wednesday, confirming its first estimate published at the end of November.

The minimum wage should thus increase "of the order of 0.9%", the Statistical Institute already indicated on Tuesday, excluding additional help from the government.
In November, inflation was driven by the acceleration in energy prices (+ 21.6% over one year, after + 20.2% in October), and to a lesser extent by the rise in energy prices. manufactured products (+ 0.8% after + 0.3% in October), and those of services (+ 1.9% after + 1.8%), details INSEE.
On the other hand, the prices of food products slowed (+ 0.5% after + 0.7%), while those of tobacco stabilized.
Over one month, inflation rose 0.4%, at the same pace as in October, driven by the prices of services and food, while energy prices slowed (+1.5 % after + 4.8% in October).
The Harmonized Consumer Price Index (HICP), which serves as a basis for comparison at European level, rose 0.4% over one month and 3.4% over one year, after + 3.2% in October.
