The exchange rate, which is still officially 1500 pounds to the dollar, ranged this morning, Tuesday, on the black (parallel) market between 27900 pounds for sale and 27950 pounds for purchase, but it continued to rise, recording in the evening 28,500 pounds for sale and 28,450 pounds for purchase.

The dollar had recorded a significant decline after the announcement of the formation of the government headed by Najib Mikati, and that day the dollar exchange rate in the parallel market reached 15,700 pounds, but it returned to rise in early November, when the dollar exchange rate recorded about 22 thousand, and on November 12 its price crossed the threshold The 23,000 pounds for the first time since July, when Saad Hariri apologized for forming the government.

The exchange rate of the dollar continued to rise with the announcement by the Central Bank of Lebanon, last week, that a new exchange rate was set for withdrawing from dollar deposits in Lebanese pounds at 8000 pounds to the dollar, after the exchange rate from banks was 3900 pounds.
