The Supreme Court has decided to dismiss the appeal of the Tokyo metropolitan area supermarket "OK", which had been seeking an injunction against the procedure, over the business integration between the "Kansai Supermarket" in Hyogo and Osaka and the operating company of the Hanshin Hanshin Department Store.

Kansai Super will be asked whether it can increase profitability by integrating with the operating company of Hankyu Hanshin Department Store.

At the general meeting of shareholders of Kansai Super held in October this year, the management integration plan with "H2O Retailing", which operates Hankyu Hanshin Department Store, etc., was approved by a slight difference, but Kansai Super was acquired. Okay, who intended to do so, filed a provisional disposition last month seeking an injunction against the merger procedure, saying that votes that should be treated as abandonment were counted in favor.

The Kobe District Court acknowledged OK's allegations and ordered the suspension of the integration procedure, but the Osaka High Court turned around and rejected OK's allegations, and while the court's decision was divided, the Supreme Court appealed OK on the 14th. The decision to dismiss was made and the judicial decision was finalized.

Based on this, Kansai Super and H2O have merged on the 15th.

The two companies have plans to increase profitability by reducing costs by remodeling stores and streamlining logistics through the integration, which will challenge their ability to execute.

On the other hand, OK announced that it would abandon the acquisition of Kansai Super and would consider opening a store in Kansai in a different way from the acquisition.
