The State will very soon pay the thermal baths of Digne-les-Bains (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) a financial aid of 979,549 euros.
This sum is intended to compensate for the subsidy intended for companies affected by the economic crisis linked to the coronavirus that the establishment was unable to touch.
Closure and loss of revenue due to Covid-19
The device did not concern local public services, explains Alpes 1. The thermal baths had yet to close their doors in 2020 as part of the health measures to fight against Covid-19.
They had thus experienced a significant loss of revenue and income.
The corrective finance law (LFR) for 2021 has, however, made it possible to compensate this type of structure by the State.
This new provision is in particular due to the joint will of the deputies and representatives of the thermal care sector.
The agencies set up with the municipalities can now claim compensation.
