For a year, the listings of housing classified E, F or G in the DPE (energy performance diagnosis) have increased by 50% in Bussy-Saint-Georges and 76% in Champs-sur-Marne (Seine-et- Marne), reports

Le Parisien

.

Under the Climate and Resilience Act, however, these housing units will have to be renovated in order to be rented out, from 2025 for Gs, 2028 for Fs, and 2034 for E.

Strong demand

This increase in the number of advertisements would, however, be unrelated to these next deadlines and would not result from the owners' desire to get rid of a property before these dates.

Rather, it can be explained by the strong demand for housing in these two cities, as evidenced by the average price per square meter, estimated at 4,956 euros for Bussy-Saint-Georges and 3,783 euros for Champs-sur-Marne. .

Energy issues would therefore weigh only slightly in real estate purchase decisions.

These “energetic sieves” also constitute a total of 13% of the real estate stock of Bussy-Saint-Georges and 44% of that of Champs-sur-Marne.
