The author noted that now she is being reminded of her position by the head of the German Foreign Ministry.
“However, unless she can indicate with tacit gestures that the pipeline is unlikely to work if Russia uses force against Ukraine,” the publicist stressed.
Earlier, the German regulator suspended the certification of Nord Stream 2 AG as an independent operator of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
On November 16, it became known that Nord Stream 2 AG decided to establish a subsidiary in Germany in order to meet the country's requirements for certification of the German section of the pipeline.
According to Reuters, the commissioning of Nord Stream 2 may be postponed until March 2022 due to the suspension of the certification process.
