China News Service, Beijing, December 10 (Reporter Chen Hang) The transportation service facilities for the Winter Olympics are ready.

The construction of special lanes for the Winter Olympics and the installation of signs are nearing completion.

All 16 transportation stations in the third competition area have been completed, and vehicle delivery is being carried out.

Emergency protection programs such as ice shoveling and snow removal, road rescue, and blockage removal have been completed, and corresponding test drills have been carried out.

Zhao Tongan, Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, mentioned the above in a press conference held on the 10th.

Zhao Tongan stated that the transportation business area will be registered for athletes and other registered personnel within a total of 55 days from January 21 to March 16, 2022, which is 14 days before the opening of the Winter Olympics and 3 days after the closing of the Winter Paralympics. 8 types of groups including, staff, etc. provide safe and smooth transportation services.

At the same time, it is planned to start some transportation services for those who come to China in advance from January 4th.

The transportation services for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics have the following characteristics. First, the transportation distance is long. Because the Beijing Winter Olympics are held in two regions and three competition areas, the Beijing Winter Olympics Village and Zhangjiakou Winter Olympics Village are 180 kilometers away.

Second, there are many steep bends in the mountain competition area. The maximum slope of No. 2 Road in Yanqing District is 12%, and there are as many as 14 180-degree "return bends" on No. 2 Road.

The third is the concentration of events. The timing of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics is highly overlapped with major events such as the Spring Festival, Spring Festival Transport, and the National "Two Sessions", which will have an impact on transportation capacity, operation organization, and order management.

According to Zhao Tongan, based on these characteristics, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee steadily and orderly promoted the preparations for transportation during the Winter Olympics, focusing on completing a number of tasks.

One is to establish a strong command and dispatch system.

Under the framework of the traffic support group of the operation headquarters determined in September, with the goal of flat, efficient, unified dispatch, and strong support, the Beijing Winter Olympics Traffic Guarantee Command and Dispatching Center will be accelerated in the near future to realize the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and the host city government. Integrated traffic dispatch and command.

The second is that the transportation team is fully in place.

Four types of traffic teams, including 33 venue traffic teams, 11 traffic service teams, 16 station operation and maintenance teams, and 4 high-speed rail service guarantee teams, have been established. The personnel are being trained in an orderly manner, and actual combat exercises have been carried out in conjunction with the test competition. .

The third is that vehicle financing has been completed.

In accordance with the configuration principle of using hydrogen in the mountain competition area and supplementing electricity and natural gas in the plain competition area, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee has raised a total of 4,090 vehicles of various types, of which all passenger cars use new and clean energy.

At the same time, the host city government has also prepared adequate service guarantee vehicles to ensure that the transportation needs of every Winter Olympic participant can be met.

Fourth, the transportation service facilities for the Winter Olympics are ready.

The construction of special lanes for the Winter Olympics and the installation of signs are nearing completion.

All 16 transportation stations in the third competition area have been completed, and vehicle delivery work is underway.

Emergency protection programs such as ice shoveling and snow removal, road rescue, and blockage removal have been completed, and corresponding test drills have been carried out.

At the same time, in accordance with the three-in-one work requirements of "epidemic prevention, transportation, and security", we are comprehensively strengthening transportation safety guarantees.

The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the governments of Beijing-Hebei and the National Railway Group jointly led the establishment of a special working group for the Winter Olympics high-speed rail.

The full load rate of the closed-loop management shuttle bus is not higher than 50%

Zhao Tongan mentioned that without epidemic prevention and safety, there would be no success in hosting the Olympic Games.

In accordance with the principles of epidemic prevention and control, we have compiled and completed the prevention and control plan for the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the transportation business field.

The plan has made a series of targeted arrangements for the transportation service policy, such as closed-loop management personnel not allowed to take ordinary urban public transportation, and cancellation of the policy of assigning cars and charging trucks to drive themselves.

At the same time, the plan also clarifies that all closed-loop management vehicles are physically separated from the driving seats, and the full-load rate of the closed-loop management shuttle bus is not higher than 50%. The seats are marked and the seats are scattered at intervals.

In terms of high-speed rail transportation, special carriages, special passages for entry and exit, and special waiting areas are set up for closed-loop managers.

In addition, relevant requirements and measures have been clarified in terms of traffic service standards, venue traffic, and personnel safety protection.

We will use these targeted measures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Winter Olympics.
