Energy is the foundation of economic development.

Since the beginning of this year, my country has accelerated the construction of a clean and low-carbon energy system, and news of major project construction has been spread frequently.

The installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaics ranks first in the world, and the application of clean energy such as hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, nuclear cogeneration, and geothermal heating has been steadily advancing. New technologies, new products, new formats and new models in the field of clean energy are emerging rapidly, not only for the economy Development provides surging impetus and has become a new driving force for economic development, fully demonstrating my country's sufficient confidence to promote a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.

154 typhoon wind turbines rotate in the wind at sea, with a total installed capacity of 480,000 kilowatts. It is currently one of the best offshore wind farms in Asia.

This is the testing ground for the early "seeding" of the National Energy Group.

On November 20, another large-scale wind power project built by the National Energy Group, Jiangsu Dongtai Offshore Wind Farm, was officially connected to the grid for power generation with a total installed capacity of 500,000 kilowatts.

From the coast of the East China Sea to the roof of the world, from the northern part of the desert to the land of Lingnan, my country's wind power industry has traversed the path of "opening up the mountains and down the sea" for nearly 40 years.

According to the latest data from the National Energy Administration, my country's grid-connected wind power installed capacity has exceeded the 300 million kilowatt mark, 1.4 times the EU's installed capacity at the end of 2020 and 2.6 times that of the United States, ranking first in the world.

In the SPIC Gonghe Photovoltaic Industrial Park, silver-blue photovoltaic panels are shining brightly under the sun, and the photovoltaic panels are surrounded by flocks of cattle and sheep.

As the world's largest photovoltaic power generation company, the State Power Investment Corporation's installed photovoltaic power generation capacity exceeds 38 million kilowatts.

As of the end of October, my country's installed solar power generation capacity was approximately 280 million kilowatts, consistently ranking first in the world.

Correspondingly, the rapid development of my country's photovoltaic industry chain has strongly stimulated economic growth.

The executive meeting of the State Council called for speeding up the construction of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic bases in the desert and Gobi desert areas.

In mid-to-late October, the four provinces and autonomous regions of Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia started a batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects with a total scale of nearly 30 million kilowatts.

The rapid development of my country's wind power and photovoltaic industries has cultivated a number of world-class leading companies, which not only continue to drive the rapid development of the industrial chain, but also become a highlight of my country's economic growth, and become a new business card for foreign trade, providing important support for promoting the green transformation of the global economy.

A number of major technology breakthroughs

In recent years, represented by green hydrogen production technology, a number of key clean energy components, materials, technologies and processes in China have made breakthroughs, providing strong support for major project construction and industrial development, and also reflecting the momentum for high-quality economic development in my country. Continuously enhance.

Green hydrogen is known as the cleanest fuel.

On November 30, Sinopec Xinjiang Kuqa Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project started construction, which will produce 20,000 tons of green hydrogen annually after it is put into production.

This is my country's first 10,000-ton green hydrogen production project. It uses photovoltaic and other renewable energy to generate hydrogen, and then electrolyze water to produce hydrogen. The production process basically does not produce greenhouse gases and eliminates carbon emissions from the source.

At the same time, all major equipment, machinery and core materials have been made domestically.

This winter, geothermal heat, which is "unpopular" for clean energy, "fires."

In the past month, PetroChina has successively put into production 6 new geothermal clean heating projects in Xiongan New District, Tangshan, Dezhou and other places. choose.

Geothermal is a clean and renewable energy source.

PetroChina has formed supporting technologies for geothermal development and utilization, and geothermal exploration technology and high-temperature drilling and completion technologies have reached the international advanced level.

The sandstone economic recharge technology, the transformation of abandoned wells into geothermal well technology, and the medium and deep hydrothermal geothermal heating technology are domestically leading.

In Yinchuan, Ningxia, the Ning coal-to-liquid project of National Energy Group is located here. There are many towers and vertical pipelines in the plant. The annual production capacity of oil products is about 4.05 million tons.

The coal-to-liquid industry of National Energy Group mainly involves coal-to-liquid, coal-to-olefins, coal-to-methanol and other businesses. It has broken the foreign monopoly on core technologies and obtained patent authorizations from the United States, Japan and other places. A country with two coal-to-liquid technologies, direct liquefaction of megaton coal and indirect coal liquefaction.

Nuclear energy cogeneration opens zero-carbon heating

In the field of nuclear energy, a number of new formats and models are emerging.

"Old trees sprout" fully reflects that my country's energy companies are accelerating the use of new technologies and new ideas to develop new products, expand new business formats, and open up new models, so as to promote economic innovation and development.

In Haiyang, Shandong, the "Nuanhe No. 1" heating project was officially put into operation recently, making Haiyang the country's first "zero-carbon" heating city.

This is a nuclear energy heating project constructed by the State Power Investment Corporation, covering 200,000 residents in the entire city of Haiyang.

It uses the high temperature generated by the nuclear power unit for heating. After the project is put into operation, Haiyang Nuclear Power Unit 1 has become the world’s largest combined heat and power unit, replacing 12 local coal-fired boilers and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 180,000 per heating season. Ton.

At present, a single nuclear power unit heating 30 million square meters of scientific research is progressing, and the heating range can cover an area of 130 kilometers.

Wu Fang, chairman of Shandong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation, said that nuclear heating is to extract part of the steam generated from nuclear power generating units as a heat source, and convert it into high-temperature water through the heat exchanger in the plant. The heat exchange station of each heating company conducts isolation heat exchange, and then sends it to the heat exchange station of each district.

There is only heat transfer in the whole process, no water exchange, to ensure safety and reliability.

Xiu Binglin, deputy director of the China Nuclear Power Development Center, said that after more than 40 years of continuous development, the scale and quality of my country's nuclear power development have reached a new level.

At present, my country has 51 nuclear power generating units in operation with an installed capacity of 53.28 million kilowatts, and 20 units under construction with an installed capacity of 22.7 million kilowatts.

As of October, the country’s nuclear power generation has accumulated 335.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is equivalent to saving about 100 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 275 million tons.
