To face competition from SpaceX, the manufacturer Ariane will acquire reusable launchers.

The group should benefit from the state stimulus plan.

the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, is going this Monday to the site of the space manufacturer in Normandy to make announcements.

"We missed a technological shift"

This visit is all the more strategic as SpaceX has been multiplying its successes for several months.

Elon Musk's company focused on renewable technologies from the start, which has ensured its success.

Its launch costs are now much lower than those of Ariane.

"We missed a technological turn. We must correct this error very quickly," admits the side of Bercy.

Stay in the global race

During his visit, Bruno Le Maire will confirm that France will acquire reusable mini launchers by 2026.

This will be a first step at a time when more and more countries are interested in space.

This strategic shift should allow France to stay in the global race.

"The schedule is ambitious, but we are ready to accelerate to meet this challenge, we slip at Ariane.
