Before a possible armed offensive against Iran, the Israelis launched a diplomatic offensive.

For several weeks, officials of the Hebrew state have been touring the great powers.

Their goal: to secure the support of friendly countries in the event of war against Iran.

Without success for the moment.

So, once again, the Israelis turn to the ally of always: Washington.

Israel is certainly a military heavyweight in the Middle East.

But that's largely thanks to the United States.

To carry out an armed offensive against Iran, the Hebrew state needs bombers, and especially armor-piercing missiles.

Missiles capable of destroying the imposing reinforced concrete structures, which protect Iranian military installations.

But the Americans have still not provided this weaponry to the Israelis, confides a diplomatic source familiar with the matter.

This explains the "all-out unrest" of officials in the Hebrew state, adds the same source.

Mossad director David Barnea is currently in Washington.

He will be joined there this Thursday, December 9 by the Israeli Minister of Defense.
