  After a one-month trial operation, yesterday, Sanlitun Taikoo Li West District announced the official opening, which is another milestone in the commercial iteration of the Greater Sanlitun business district.

Moving towards a world-class business district, the Sanlitun area will also be comprehensively upgraded.

The reporter was informed that in 2022, Sanlitun will launch a business district growth partner action plan to promote the overall planning and upgrading of various commercial projects.

  On November 2nd, the Taikoo Li West District of Sanlitun started its trial operation. Although this shopping mall with a total area of ​​about 27,500 square meters is small, it quickly jumped into a new check-in location.

According to Ma Zedan, general manager of Taikoo Li Sanlitun, during the trial operation of the West District, the average daily passenger flow on weekends was about 20,000.

"This passenger flow is already considerable for a small-scale project, and it is expected that as more stores open, it will attract more passenger flow."

  Sanlitun Taikoo Li West District was transformed on the basis of the original Yaxiu Building.

The transformed Yashow is repositioned as a fashionable lifestyle destination, gathering trendy fashion, high-quality catering, healthy living and entertainment.

In accordance with Beijing’s “14th Five-Year Plan” for the renewal and renovation of old areas, the West District’s upgrade and renovation process runs through the concepts of “innovation and evolution” and “community creation”. The existing internal structure of the building is optimized into a wider floor space, and the external facade adopts a large-area glass curtain wall as a whole, and upgraded convenience facilities such as elevators, escalators, and lighting to enhance the customer experience.

  In addition to the architectural upgrade, the surrounding environment of Yaxiu Building has also been improved. The road facilities on Yaxiu East Road and Yaxiu West Road have been renovated and upgraded, and the block landscape has been increased to provide more space for multicultural and artistic activities.

The upgraded West District will effectively enhance the commercial atmosphere of the entire district and bring new vitality to the old urban fabric of the Sanlitun community.

According to reports, the three parties are currently studying a cooperation model. The North Expansion Project has a large volume, covering an area about the sum of the current Sanlitun Taikoo Li's southern and northern districts, and will be built into an open block.
